Urgent Action Alerts for Republican Majority Campaign Members & Friends!
Of the Republican Majority Campaign PAC (RMC)

Let’s face reality.

The Republican Party is in serious trouble because from about 2002-to-2008 the GOP abandoned its conservative roots.  America rejected this because more than 60% of Americans described themselves as conservative.

Solution:  The Republican Majority Campaign has never abandoned our conservative roots and requires every candidate we support to sign a pledge to not raise taxes and not vote for any legislation unless the Democratic leadership has provided ample time to review it.  If any of our supported candidates break their pledge, all of our donations to them must be returned.

The solution to America's woes - its shift to socialism - can only be stopped with your help.  Please help elect conservative candidates in 2010.

We need to take action now or the 2010 elections next year could be another disaster for our country.

President Obama and the Democrats in Congress are on a big government socialist binge that threatens the very economic foundation of our country.  The only way to stop them is to elect more conservative to the House of Representatives and to the United States Senate in next year’s elections.

Unfortunately, the Republican Party still hasn’t recovered from last year’s defeat.

A Rasmussen Poll just released showed that nearly 70 percent of Republicans believe their party is leaderless.

Recent headlines tell the story:

“GOP MELTDOWN CONTINUES”

“GOP CRUMBLING”

“WHO’S IN CHARGE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY?”

“CORNYN SAYS HARD TO DEFEAT DEMS”

“GINGRICH SAYS TIME MAY BE RIGHT FOR 3RD PARTY”

“REPUBLICANS DOWN ON THEIR OWN PARTY”

Believe it or not, the website of the Republican National Committee is ranked 73,599 in popularity.  Yes, that’s right.  There are 73,598 websites that get more traffic than the Republican Party’s most important website.

This poor web result coming from the party which led the Democrats in 2004 in money, in organization, in passionate volunteers and in technology! And, it now trails in every one of these categories.

What happened?

It seems that everywhere you turn, the Republican Party is on the wrong track.

As a loyal conservative, you deserve the unvarnished truth -- and the truth is you deserve better.

While Mr. Obama and the Democrats are “burning down our house,” some of our top Republican leaders are holding meetings in pizza parlors to “connect” with voters and others are talking about “getting beyond” the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

I’m sorry, but continuing to abandon our principles is not going to get us where we need to be as a party.

Ever since the November elections, the liberal mainstream media has been urging the Republican Party to abandon it’s conservative “Reagan roots”. They have run countless stories urging the GOP to become more “moderate” (translate: socialist).  Why?  I can guarantee you that it’s not because they want Republicans to win. They know that our greatest electoral successes, whether it was under President Reagan, or Newt Gingrich and the “Contract With America”, was when we raised a banner of bold conservative colors and not pale (moderate) pastels.

I may be biased but “getting beyond” the legacy of Ronald Reagan is last thing the Republican Party needs.

It was the betrayal of the principles of Ronald Reagan that got us into trouble.  When the Republican Party supported outrageously high spending, new entitlements and bail outs of troubled corporations, that’s when we got into trouble with the American people.

While some in the Republican Party are still searching for a “new” message, the Republican Majority Campaign has, from it’s inception, strongly advocated a return of the party to it’s Reagan roots--low taxes and spending, strong national defense and a faith in the free enterprise system.  In other words, a banner of bold conservative colors, not pale pastels.

We are facing a crisis.  The Supreme Court of Minnesota just awarded the Democrats their 60th Senate seat--taking away from Republicans the one tool they had left to stop the Democrats from passing their radical agenda.

It’s time to dispense with the “soul-searching,” and focus all of our energy and resources into retaking as many Congressional seats and U. S. Senate seats as possible in the 2010 midterm elections. There is nothing more important for Republicans to do RIGHT NOW than to concentrate on the next election, a little over a year away. That is just what we have done at the Republican Majority Campaign.  We have studied every Congressional District and Senate race coming up in 2010 and have identified those where Republicans lost by narrow margins and where historical trends favor Republicans.  These are our targets in the 2010 elections. We can win next year if we muster the support and resources necessary to win these races.

Ultra-socialist Al Franken's election has given the Democrats a 60% majority in the Senate. With the recent seating of ultra-soci

ACORN registered more than 46,000 voters in Minnesota, many of whom are fraudulent, to give Franken his 400 vote victory.  We MUST fight this corruption.

alist Al Franken, the Democrats have a 60% majority in the Senate.  If this lopsided represenation of anti-free enterprise zealots is allowed to continue in power, small business owners will be both taxed and regulated out of existence.

If we don’t make a strong comeback in the 2010 Congressional elections, then it’s not just the Republican Party that will be in serious trouble -- it is the nation -- it is our economy -- it is our security.

And, unfortunately, the kind of organization and leadership necessary to reverse our 2008 losses is not being delivered by the official organizations that represent the Republican party.

Since January 20th, we have witnessed the wholesale abandonment by Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress of the free enterprise system that is responsible for making America into the most prosperous nation in history.  Our opponents are moving, with breathtaking speed, toward collectivism, class warfare, and outright socialism.  This is not exaggeration or hyperbole.  This is the current reality in our nation’s capital.

And it is not just the Obama economic policy that should concern us.  Barack Obama has undermined our nation’s ability to obtain critical intelligence from captured “enemy combatants,” and he has imposed a series of measures that can only be described as a serious weakening of our commitment to the war on terror.  In fact, Obama won’t even call it a war on terror and Obama has instructed his administration not to refer to our enemies as our enemies.

In Barack Obama’s view, America is not the good and great nation that rescued the world from fascism and communism.  No, we are the nation that has too often tried to impose our will on the rest of the world and we must assume a humbler more respectful attitude toward unthankful countries, particularly those led by religious dictators in the Muslim world.  Obama has spent more time apologizing for America than he has extolling her virtues.

Barack Obama has proposed to Congress the most radical left-wing agenda ever contemplated in our nation’s history.  If he succeeds, the American economy will be controlled from Washington, D.C. Take a look at what he has already done in just a few short months. He has taken control of the entire financial services sector of our economy, and the auto industry and Obama now controls the states through payments of billions in stimulus money that he promised would go to creating jobs in the private sector. And if he gets his way, we will soon have socialized medicine and the United States will inevitably become another European-style socialist nanny-state, doomed to fighting over a shrinking economic pie.  Never in our history, even during the Great Depression, have we faced such a fundamental threat to our individual freedom and prosperity.

The Republican Majority Campaign was founded in January of 2008, because the Republican Party was in trouble. The objective was to bring about a return to the party’s fundamental principles and to fill the growing and, frankly, alarming technological and organizational gap, between the official Republican Party and the Democrats.

Tens of thousands of rank and file conservative Independents, Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats flocked to our banner of bold colors and contributed over $4 million to our efforts in 2008--a testament to the hunger for strong conservative leadership in the Republican Party.

But, despite those efforts, the worst-case scenario came true in the 2008 elections.  The Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee all failed to articulate a consistent, conservative, alternative to the Democrats and these groups allowed the socialists to supersede the Republican Party in every aspect of technology, money, and organization.

The Republican Majority Campaign is an independent political action committee registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and fully recognized as a multi-candidate committee. We have spent the last year building a nationwide organization and recruiting some of the most creative and innovative talents in the political world.

During the 2008 campaign, RMC employed all of the traditional techniques to influence elections, including television advertising, newspaper advertising, telephone calls, and direct mail.  But, we also made a special effort to reach out to more technologically savvy voters through our web site, millions of emails, and through the use of internet video technology.

RMC joined forces with filmmaker Michael Brown, who wrote and produced the video that was named the most effective political video of 2008.  It was called, “Dear Mr. Obama.” It featured Iraq war veteran Sgt. Joe Cook, forcefully stating why he believed that the war in Iraq was not a mistake and why he supported Senator John McCain’s Presidential campaign.  At the end of the video, as Sgt. Cook is walking away, you suddenly see that he lost a leg in Iraq.  It was a very powerful and emotional message.

The video was posted on YouTube, and it was viewed a staggering 11 million times by individuals.

Furthermore, the Republican Majority Campaign provided Republican members of Congress an independent source for aid to their campaigns.  During the last two weeks of the campaign, many Republican members of Congress found themselves suddenly without promised financial support from the Party for their campaigns.

RMC stepped into a number of races at the last minute with the maximum contribution allowed by law.  Unfortunately, it was too little, too late, for some great members of Congress like Representative Marilyn Musgrave of Colorado and Representative Tom Feeney of Florida.

Rep. Musgrave’s letter tells the story:

“I would like to express my deep appreciation to the Republican Majority Campaign for coming to my aid with the maximum contribution permitted by law at the most critical time of my campaign for re-election.

"Unfortunately, the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee backed out on their commitment to provide my campaign with $250,000 in television advertising in the final days of the campaign.”

Ever since 2004, when the Howard Dean Presidential campaign proved that a Presidential race could be financed with donations received over the internet, the Democrats and their left-wing allies have moved at breakneck speed to create an astonishing number of well-funded, technically advanced, organizations involving millions of supporters and hundreds of millions of dollars. This effort has been successful beyond their wildest dreams and has been a nightmare for Republicans.

Barack Obama took fund raising on the internet to heights never before imagined.  His campaign raised well over half a billion dollars using this medium and Obama refuses to disclose the source of millions of these contributions.  RMC intends during the run-up to 2010 to prove that much of Obama's internet funding came from illegal, non-USA sources.

Unless we conservatives step up our efforts, conservatives are likely to be out-numbered, out-organized, and out-spent by this powerful combination of sophisticated non-American illegal funding sources, left-wing organizations and traditional Democratic Party power centers such as labor unions and wealthy liberal elites.

We must be smarter, more dedicated, and more efficient than we were in 2008.  And, unless we start now to build an organization that will be capable of competing with the left in the political arena in 2010 and 2012 -- we will be force-fed a diet of socialism and big government and our freedoms will be lost forever.

The results from last year’s election also portend an ominous trend.  In the 2004 election, John Kerry received 54% of the vote among 18 to 30 year olds.  This time, Barack Obama received a stunning 67% among those same 18 to 30 year olds.  That’s two out of every three votes. Even so, Obama won with only 54% of the total vote - a percentage that did not give him the mandate for socialism!

Here’s the icing on the cake.  Pollster Frank Luntz tells us that voters between 18 and 30 years old now get more information about candidates from the internet than from television news.  This is a profound milestone in the internet revolution.  This trend will continue and the numbers of voters relying on the internet will be even greater next year and in 2012. Meanwhile the Republican Party website is number 73,599 in the rankings of website traffic. Unless we respond dramatically, and adapt to this new reality, the future of the Republican Party is in doubt.

That is why the Republican Majority Campaign made the commitment in 2008 to take the conservative message into the 21st century and fully embrace the internet.  We must now redouble our efforts or we will fall further behind the Democrats and never again be the majority party.

The effort to restore conservative control in Congress must begin NOW!

While the official party organizations are searching for a strategy and a “new” message, the Republican Majority Campaign has studied the field -- selected our targets -- recruited top talent to execute creative campaigns and stand ready to go on the offensive.

We have invested in an “industrial strength” presence on the web and have recruited a stellar “New Media Advisory Board” that includes talk radio star, Michael Reagan, filmmaker Michael Brown, California Political Review Editor John Kurzweil and conservative columnist and executive director of the Americanism Educational League Bill Saracino.

In order to be among the best political websites in the country, we enlisted the services of some of the best talent in the business to build a new, more powerful, website from scratch.

Our targets have been chosen and a talented team is in place -- now we need your help.

We have very ambitious plans and it requires a very ambitious commitment.

I am asking you to contribute to our conservative campaign-building efforts in 2009.

If we are to succeed we need a high level of commitment from our conservative Independents, Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats.

We are not ready to wave the white flag of surrender to Barack Hussein Obama and the socialist Democrats.

We are ready to fight, and we’ve got the people, the tools, and the strategy to lead a comeback.

So, I am asking you to join in our work in any, or all, of the following methods:

Make a donation on our SSL secure donation facility that keeps your data totally safe and secure.

Become a Conservative Patriot by pledging monthly donations to help dump the dem in 2010.

Becoming a Volunteer to campaign for a conservative candidate that RMC is helping and is local to you.

Joining in as a Conservative Patron and working with us to restore America.

We need your maximum contribution today to launch this effort.

Thank you!
Sincerely,
Randy Goodwin
